Re:Center might look like a church, but we're creating a new kind of gathering space, open to the public, where you can make art (even if you think you're bad at it), hang out, drink coffee, and pitch in. It’s also a space where you can explore spirituality (if you want), with no pressure to join a congregation and full permission to question everything.

End your weekend with a little more intention and a little less hurry. Drop in anytime and spend time journaling, reading, working on a puzzle, making art, playing games, sipping tea, or enjoying quiet conversation with friends. Whether you stay for a few minutes or a few hours, this is a space to slow down, recharge, and ease into the week ahead. Because "Sunday scaries" don't stand a chance against tea and puzzles.

Step away on your lunch break for an hour of spiritual practices that engage your senses, deepen your sense of connection, and inspire your imagination. This is less "close your eyes and meditate" and more "move, play, and explore." No fancy clothes or yoga mats required. Come curious and leave more connected to yourself and to something greater.

Share your dreams about ways to connect, collaborate, or simply be part of the community. You bring your own food. We'll bring the welcome!

You don't have to be "artsy" to make art! Come play with paint, markers, crayons, or whatever creative rabbit trails call your name. Bring your own project or use our supplies. Either way, there's no pressure to make something Pinterest-worthy. This is creativity for the joy of it. Kids, adults, perfectionists, and recovering perfectionists are all welcome.

Decon/Recon

Decon/Recon is a group for those who are looking for support, community, and resources for the work of deconstructing religious harm and reconstructing health and wholeness.
Together, we make space to name and examine the beliefs, experiences, and systems that have shaped us. We explore what it means to untangle ourselves from inherited expectations and make room for greater freedom, health, wholeness, and authenticity.
There’s no prescribed destination. You don’t have to find your way back to religion, spirituality, or any particular set of beliefs. This is an invitation to ask honest questions, reclaim your agency, and explore what a meaningful life might look like on the other side of religious harm and constraint.

At Re:Center, we welcome and celebrate people from a variety of backgrounds, identities, and spiritual paths. Rather than seeking conformity in belief or practice, we instead seek authenticity, imagination, creative risk, and courageous belonging.

At a Glance
Re:Center is a multi-functional space for renewal, connection, and creativity. While we're still working behind-the-scenes to get things up and running, here's what we're planning:
We have a large multi-use space and several smaller rooms for rent, with long-term or one-time options available.
Our big dream is a coffee shop with the best coffee and coolest vibes in town. The coffee shop isn't open yet, but we're working on a place to re:fill your cup!
A large outdoor walking labyrinth will soon be open to the public. Labyrinths are circular walking paths meant to inspire contemplation and centering.
Our art room is a space for both guided classes and self-led creativity- mess encouraged! We're also honored to display art from local artists.
Our space is perfect for support groups, recovery meetings, book clubs, and community events.
We have big plans for a community garden beginning in the spring of 2027.
We host individual and group spiritual direction, retreats, workshops, and classes, offered from an expansive variety of traditions and lenses.
We're developing a hygiene pantry to provide resources, dignity, and care for our neighbors. The pantry will open in October 2026.
We've got plenty of room for kids to create art, play, gather with friends for parties, and more!

Two unconventional and slightly mischievous clergywomen with big imaginations and a stubborn refusal to settle for "the way it's always been" looked around at the church and the world and thought, It's time for a remix! It sounds like the start of a good joke... "A Presbyterian and a Lutheran walked into a (coffee) bar..." but that's basically what happened. Rev. Ashley Twitchell and Rev. Dr. Jackie Putnam, together with our denominational bodies (the Lutheran ELCA SC Synod and the PCUSA Foothills Presbytery, respectively), decided that instead of letting a vacant church building be sold to the highest bidder and repurposed into unaffordable housing or another dang carwash, we can create a new kind of space that builds up our community. We want a world where people from different faiths and backgrounds can work together to make something beautiful, so that's what we're doing!
We'll be opening in stages. Currently, we're open for select events (advertised above) and group gathering space rentals. Our goal is to launch the community garden and walking labyrinth in the Spring of 2027. Our big dream is to open a coffee shop and we're working hard to build the connections and resources we need to make it possible. The best way to stay in-the-loop is to sign up for our emails.
